My Job

Currently I'm working for a company that makes rain coats for dogs. This is not a joke. I mean, it is a joke, but it is also true. I'm helping them get to the point where they can embroider their dog raincoats, which is the obvious next logical step. This revelation about my employment should go a long way toward explaining how my life is going at the moment.

From the site:

Q: Does Alcor cryopreserve pets?

A: Alcor does not currently have a public program for cryopreservation of pets and other animals. Although we do have some pets in cryopreservation, these are the pets of members who will themselves also be cryopreserved. It makes no sense to send a pet into the future if the owner will not be there for them.

I disagree with neptune 2. I believe there is a vast and yet untapped market for cryopreserved pets. Why should I have to settle for some misbred pit-oodle when I can peruse the halls of history. Winston Churchill's prize bulldog? Yes. Napoleon's classically trained shit-zhu? Thank you, I'll take two. Ghengis Khan's saluki? Please, yes put that in my cart. Adopting a pet the old fashioned way is soon to go out of favor once the pets of the dead and famous become available. Get with the future, neptune two, or I'm gonna bring my pack of zombie pod-dogs over to your yard to fill it up with cryopreserved dog shit.
